I decided to finally release the Joomla! plugin I wrote that tags my articles with a Creative Commons license.  Enjoy!

Printing Improvements

The night before my jury duty, I noticed that printing articles was rather screwed up.  I've fixed it so it now works respectably.  If you want to print the article with the comments, then use your browser's print function.  If you want to print the article only, use the small printer icon at the top right of each article to display a version of the article without comments.

HACK: JCE Frontend Won't Save Changes; Setgood Undefined

Using JCE as my editor, I couldn't save edits I made to articles using the front end.  Trying to save would generate an error about setgood not being defined; that is, if you use the Firefox Web Developer extension.  Otherwise, trying to save the form would appear to do absolutely nothing.  Not to fear, grep to the rescue!

I happen to have the Beez theme installed as well, for the sole purpose of having another theme to use for comparative analysis. So I grepped, and it revealed:

404 File Not Found

Joomla!'s default page for HTTP 404 errors left me underwhelmed, so I set about improving it.  To create your own 404 page, simply copy templates/system/error.php to templates/error.php.  This file will then override Joomla!'s default error page, so you can hack at will, and if things go horribly wrong, simply delete the copy you made and try again.
